Most of the time I like to take my time to do my makeup, but whenever I’m in a rush I know exactly which products I have to grab on my beauty shelf to look fresh and awake in less than ten minutes.
Out of all my primers, the Laneige CC Cream is the one I reach for the most. I’m not too keen on heavy silicone primers as they tend to make my skin a little oily and clog my pores throughout the day, and this CC Cream is moisturizing without leaving a greasy film on my skin. The formula is on the thinner side and is very easy to blend with fingers in a matter of seconds only. That color also match my prom dress so much.It has barely any color in it but it is still incredibly brightening, almost like a subtle highlighter, and works wonder as a skintone color corrector. Peach Pink is perfect for those with cool undertones, but also for those with warm undertones who wish to slightly reduce unwanted yellow tones in their skin. Pure Beige is a beige with neutral to slightly yellow undertones, perfect for everyone. A word of advice if you’re thinking of getting this great primer for yourself would be to blend it only with your fingers as brushes don’t work at all and beauty sponges like the Beauty Blender will totally soak up the product. Another primer I adore but use only on big occasions due to its price is the Hera Magic Starter. Review and swatches of these three products here.
While I don’t have any dark circles I still like to brighten my under eye area and to cover redness on my nose. For these two tasks I use the Laneige Concealer Cushion, and let me tell you if you do not already have it get your hands on it ASAP as this is the most concealing, seamlessly blendable formula for under eyes I have ever tried. It is very convenient and easy to use, and unlike thicker concealers (like the Nars Creamy Radiant or UD Naked concealers) this one doesn’t settle into fine lines nor dry out the skin, which is great if like me you have dry skin. It doesn’t completely erase all redness but it definitely neutralizes it.
90% of the time I reach out to my Hera CC Cream or to my Laneige Water Supreme Foundation (This post isn’t sponsored by Laneige, I just happen to adore this brand) as they give me the most beautiful and flawless satin-finish ever. Both are extremely lightweight while still offering good amount of coverage. Another foundation I like to use (the 10% left) is the Urban Decay Naked Foundation, but I only use it whenever I’m looking for more coverage or for big occasions like dates. Highlighter & Blush
I recently purchased the Makeup Revolution London in Golden Sugar and I’m totally addicted to it. I use this palette for pretty much everything : (See shades here) shade 2 as an eyeshadow topper under Benefit Dandelion or Innisfree Mineral Shadow in Toeshoes Ribbon , shade 2+3 as a blush, shade 1+5 as a highlighter and shade 8 as a bronzer. All the shades are very pigmented and very long lasting. Totally worth it. I believe it is only available on their website (UK) at the time.
I don’t wear or own much eyeshadows, the main reason would be because I’m very bad at it, but these days I love to use Innisfree Mineral Shadows in shades Sweet Grapefruit & Toeshoes Ribbon all over my eyelids and top it with the second shade of the Makeup Revolution London palette I mentioned above. I never go out without wearing eyeliner and the ones I always use are the MUFE Aqua Black and the MUFE Graphic Liner. The (extremely) beautiful Diana of EasyNeon recently got me interested in the Eve By Eve’s Jet Black Conditioning Liquid Eyeliner and I ordered it on Amazon, hopefully I will love it as well. For tightlining I use the 3CE Creamy Waterproof Eyeliner and for brightening the inner corners of my eyes I use Innisfree Gel Liner in #2 Pink Champagne. Both pencils have an incredible staying power as they seriously don’t smudge at all even after a long day. Lastly I pop on a few coats of my beloved Hera Generlash Volume Mascara to give my lashes the volume they deserve and voila, eye makeup is done.
For my extremely dry and chapped lips I use the Laneige Moisturizing Lip Balm and Laneige Lip Primer. They’re both a bit pricey, especially for lipbalms, but they work a treat at moisturizing and smoothing extremely chapped lips. The lip primer also conceals dark lips and is perfect if you wish to use a light colored lipstick. Urban Decay Lip Pencil in shade Native for the outline, 3CE Jumbo Lip Crayon in shade Smoothie all over the lips and two layers of the lipstick of my choice. At the moment I almost only use YSL Rouge Volupté Oil-In-Stick (in shades Pink in Paris & Pink in Confidence) and 3CE Lipstick in shade Rollercoaster.
That’s it for my 10 minutes daily makeup routine. How long does it take for you to do your makeup in the morning?
