This incredible natural & gentle Korean rose cleanser is almost too pretty to use

Cleanser is one area where it’s tempting to choose a lower-end brand. I know I don’t normally spend much money on a cleanser – unless it’s the Hera Silky Cleansing Mousse – but after reading dozens of impressive reviews that said the Su:m37 Miracle Rose Stick was one of the best for dry, sensitive and mature skin, I simply had to get my hands on it.

Amid the myriad of beauty products I tried this year, the Su:m37 Miracle Rose Stick Cleanser quickly became a staple in my daily skincare routine, and as hinted at before here, this brand is slowly but surely becoming one of my favorites. Although primarily aimed at dry and mature skin types, this cleanser can also work wonders for all skin types.

This luxurious mild exfoliating cleanser is formulated with 90% natural ingredients, and I found it offers gentle cleansing with absolutely no stickiness or residue left behind – and, importantly for us sensitive types, no irritation. It leaves the skin thoroughly cleansed, soft and supple with a great hydrated glow all while banishing excess oil from those problematic areas. While Coconut and Olive oils can be two acne-triggering ingredients, I received nothing but positive feedback from acquaintances with oily and problematic skin types.

Ingredients :
Glycerol, Water, Orange Peel Oil, Lime Peel Oil, Lemon Peel Oil, Green Tea Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, Basil Oil, Ylang Ylang Flower Oil, Majoram Oil, Fermented Damask Rose Extract, Apricot Seed Oil, Olive Oil, Sunflower Oil, Betaine, Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid, Camellia Oil, Tocopheral, Rose Flower Water, Potassium Hydroxide, Lauryl Betaine

Like so many K-beauty products, it has beautiful packaging. The unique twist-up tube is very travel-friendly and a great advantage if, like me, you always have to deal with spills in your gym or travel bag.

Since introducing this cleanser into my routine earlier this year, I have noticed a welcomed change in my complexion and a decrease in dryness and dehydration. The amazing results this cleanser provides, the heavenly light rose scent and the rose petals inlaid in the stick make my cleansing routine entirely more enjoyable.

Considering I haven’t found another Korean cleanser that won’t leave my skin unnecessary tight & dry, I it is very safe to say that I have found my coveted dry skin cleansing saviour, and for only 30$ there is really no resisting on my part.

I adore this cleanser! Great review Hun. I wanted to ask if you know if this is a cruelty free product?

      Hello!

Su:m37 is owned by LG and I believe they do test on animals, unfortunately.

Hi. What is your opinion on low pH cleansers and should we choose more acidic cleansers than alkaline?

    • Hye Mi (author)

      Hello Miss Moon,

I use both alkaline and low ph cleansers and never noticed any difference between the two, probably because I always use a pH adjusting toner. I believe Samplehime published a very good post about why the low ph cleanser trend is kinda silly, you should check it out.

I’ve heard of the brand, but I’ve never seen cleansers that come in this form! You had me sold with rose, and the ingredients look like they’d be amazing. It looks like I could safely use it without stripping my skin, which is always a huge worry for me since I have oily skin.

I’ve never heard of Su:m37 before I’ll have to check this brand asap! Do you still use the Hera Silky Mousse?

    • Hye Mi (author)

      Hello Marie,

Yes I still use it, and still like it very much. 🙂

    Hello Hye Mi,

First of all, your blog is extremely beautiful. I adore the design.
I’m new to Korean beauty and I don’t know which brand(s) to use. I heard you’re a huge fan of the high-end brand HERA, do you recommend it for mature skin as well? I’m a 36 years old woman with extremely dehydrated dry skin and so far the only two brands I’ve been using my whole life are Neutrogena and Nivea.

    • Hye Mi (author)

      Hello Estelle,

      Thank you for the design.
As you said I’m a huge fan of Hera, this brand is perfect for young adults and adults. They have two anti-aging lines, Signia and Age Away, but I only tried the Aquabolic, Waterin and White Program. I have very dry, dehydrated skin as well and the Cell-Essence + Aquabolic line have truly done wonders to my skin.
As for others Korean brands for mature, dry dehydrated skin I really like Su:m37, Laneige, Sulwhasoo and more recently Whamisa.

hey this doesn’t dry out your skin I want to buy it but my skin type is really dry I can never find the right kbeauty cleanser that hydrates my skin or gives a glow.

    • Hye Mi (author)

      Hi Kemi,

I have very dry skin as well and the Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick doesn’t dry out my skin at all, on the contrary it leaves it truly soft and moisturized.

  • Alicia

    Hi Hyemi!

This post really made my day, the rose petals are so nice. 🙂
I have very oily/acne prone skin, do you think I can use it too? I don’t break out because of olive oil but I never tried coconut oil.

    • Hye Mi (author)

      Hi Aria,

You should get a little bit of coconut oil (should cost less than 5-8$) at your local store and do a patch test for 3 days in a row, that’s how I test oils. 🙂

  • Marie

I’m sold, you got me with the rose petals. I just ordered it, can’t wait to receive my order! ☻ Do you know how long it takes for a Korean package to reach Canada?

    • Hye Mi (author)

      Hello Marie,

I honestly have no idea. I live in France and I usually receive my Korean orders within 2-3 weeks.

  • Anna

O-M-G. The packaging is SO pretty! Ok I’ll buy it, I just hope it won’t make me breakout… That packaging tho <3

    • Hye Mi (author)

I agree, the packaging is truly stunning. And you haven’t even seen the box, it’s even more beautiful. 🙂
