An all-natural Korean beauty box you must try : Inspire Me Korea x Whamisa
There’s nothing quite like new skincare treats to lift your spirit and prep your skin for autumn, and the new Inspire Me Korea x Whamisa beauty box is perfect for making the colder weather more bearable. This affordable beauty box showcases pampering skincare products from Whamisa, a 100% natural, organic and cruelty-free innovative organic Korean skincare brand finally available in Europe at www.whamisa.co.uk, and is everything you need this season. Here are the goodies inside:

1. Whamisa Organic Flowers Olive Leaf Mist (80ml, full size)
This silky organic spray-on moisturizer is formulated with a bunch of botanical extracts to hydrate and soothe dry winter skin. I can already tell that I’m going to be using this mist a lot during fall and winter instead of the effective but definitely overpriced Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist, not only because it’s very handy but also because I just love the formula and the two real olive leaf inside. You can mist it on for a burst of soothing hydration any time of the day without disturbing your makeup*. The formula isn’t oily at all and is perfect for all skintypes, oily and acne-prone included.
*Tried and approved, didn’t make my makeup smudge or budge at all.
2. Whamisa Hydrogel Seeds Facial Mask (1pc, full size)
I’m sure you will all agree that sheet-masks are pretty amazing and can work magic on the skin. The box contains one of the three versions of the mask, and I received the Organic Seeds & Rice version. Made of 100% natural fermented ingredients (95% of which are organic), this sheet-mask promises to visibly reduce wrinkles, improve skin’s elasticity, even out your skintone and improve your complexion’s overall health.
I can’t tell if this mask truly keeps all of its promises as you need to use two of them a week for four weeks, but I can tell it is very moisturizing and soothing without clogging pores. I also appreciate how it visibly minimized my fine lines, brightened and made my skin more supple upon the first use.
3. Whamisa Green Essence Kelp Mask (1pc, full size)
I’m not an expert when it comes to sheet-masks, but I can tell right away when one of them is truly worth the splurge or not. This next-generation sheet-mask is made of 100% real sea kelp and is infused with a 100% natural rich serum that promises a great deal: to improve wrinkles, brighten dull skintone, take down a puffy face, tighten pores, refine skin texture, deliver intensive moisture and hydration for 72 hours and finally to make the skin more luminous. One sheet-mask costs 9.50£, which is incredibly expensive for a one-use product, but I can already see myself using it twice a month along cheaper sheet-masks like the ones from Innisfree or Mamonde to maintain my skin’s condition.
4. Whamisa Lotion Double Rich (20ml)
I had heard that this lotion was very moisturizing and nourishing, so I was expecting a lot from it, but unfortunately it just didn’t work out for me. As I have very dry skin, I need an extra strong hydration boost from my skincare products, especially with colder weather on the way, but the moisturizing properties of this lotion were simply not powerful enough for my skin. I can tell it would work very well on a normal to combination skin type, and maybe even on oily skin at night time, but it definitely doesn’t work for very dry skin like mine. On the other hand, I got very nice results when I applied it on top of an even more moisturizing and liquidy lotion like the Hada Labo Premium Hyaluronic Acid Lotion – probably because the oils in the Whamisa act as an occlusive and prevent the Hada Labo from evaporating. It’s not a product I would purchase in full-size, but it’s still an excellent addition to normal/combo skincare routine.
As my Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel isn’t moisturizing enough for winter, I was delighted to find two samples of the eye-essence inside the box. This powerful yet weightless essence offers instantly visible firming results for the delicate skin around the eye, and also brightens and diminishes fine lines for a more youthful look.
I was really hoping to receive a sample of the Nourishing Cream but got the Foam Cleansing Cream instead. With a pH level of 5, this gentle creamy rich cleanser wipes away impurities for a clean, healthy-looking moisturized glowy skin.
Inspire Me Korea also offers the Culture Box, a 13.99£ monthly subscription box that includes little bites to bring you closer to Korea – from snacks to satiate your appetite, to bitesize history, culture, language and trends in the monthly magazine delivered to your door monthly! I’ve been dying to try out Whamisa products but have always been put off by the high price. Next time I will also recommend some lace wigs care product for my full lace wigs. However now that they’re available in Europe and now that I’ve tried this box, I know it’s worth every penny. Whamisa have really nailed it in terms of quality and effectiveness. If you’re looking for an organic Korean brand I highly suggest you to treat yourself to this beauty box, it can hardly disappoint with the amazing products it contains!
